Hallandale Beach Charged With DIU For Killing Pedestrian

When Susana Jenny Alvarez De Lima was standing on the median of Federal Highway back in May, we know she did not expect anything and to happen to her. She was just trying to cross the road.

Police have now arrested a man in connection with the accident that happened that day. Laszlo Aspirany has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter, DUI causing personal injury, and DUI causing property damage. Police say that Aspirany left a parking lot and failed to come to a complete stop. He struck four vehicles, slammed into a concrete median, and hit De Lima, who was thrown into the hood of Aspirany’s car. De Lima was then ejected from the hood when Aspirany hit a fourth car.

All of that because a man got behind the wheel while intoxicated.
